The Arch of Corte
From the Tavignanu Valley, set off to explore the Arch. Climb above the Tavignanu trail and reach a stone shelter. Follow the north path and cross a second ridge. You'll arrive at a chestnut grove, then a pine forest. At around 1,000 meters altitude, head southwest to reach a pass at 1,145 meters. There's a cross on the left; continue north. Pass a rocky peak (1,293 meters), climb to the right through some scree, and reach a small pass. Turn right and continue northwest, then west. After 40 minutes, you will arrive at the Ark.Difficulty: 5/5 – Round trip: 5 hours.
The Asco Valley and Mount Cinto
Take the D147 road which runs alongside the gorges and stop to swim in the river. Continue on the road past Asco and arrive at the Haut-Asco ski resort, the starting point for climbing Monte Cinto, the highest peak in Corsica (2,706 m). A hike for experienced hikers.

Discover the railways of Corsica
Discover Corsica by train, all the way to Vizzavona station, a 50-minute train ride from Corte. There you'll find several hiking trails, including one to the Cascade des Anglais (English Waterfall).
- From the station, follow the signs and the red and white marked trail. 3 km, approximately 45 minutes.
- From the Vizzavona pass, about 30 minutes, a bit more challenging with sections through scree.
Road trips
A few kilometers from our hotel with swimming pool in Corte, head to Boziu and Castagniccia, including discovering:
- Saliceto and its chapel built on a point
- Morosaglia and Pasquale Paoli's nature house
- La Porta with its church and its baroque-style bell tower

The first beaches
In 45 minutes by car, you'll reach the first beaches. We recommend Ostriconi, the first beach in Balagne. 45 minutes is also the time it takes to reach the first beach on the eastern coast, Aleria.
